If you were to travel to LaFarge, you would find 15-40 mile an hour road curves. One of the area's oldest festivals is the 4th of July Celebration. LaFarge has been celebrating Independence Day longer than the village has been in existence. The origins of the annual celebrations traces back to the 1870's when the 4th of July was used as a reunion for Civil War Veterans and their families.--Information taken from the book: Vernon County Heritage, copyright 1994.
